3: When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay there in Ephesus and stop those who are teaching wrong doctrine.
Galatians 1:6
- I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who in his love and mercy called you to share the eternal life he gives through Christ. You are already following a different way
- that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who twist and change the truth concerning Christ.
1 Timothy 6:3
- Some false teachers may deny these things, but these are the sound, wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life.
2 John 1:9
- For if you wander beyond the teaching of Christ, you will not have fellowship with God. But if you continue in the teaching of Christ, you will have fellowship with both the Father and the Son.
- If someone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don't invite him into your house or encourage him in any way.
Titus 1:9
- He must have a strong and steadfast belief in the trustworthy message he was taught; then he will be able to encourage others with right teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong.
- For there are many who rebel against right teaching; they engage in useless talk and deceive people. This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation.
- They must be silenced. By their wrong teaching, they have already turned whole families away from the truth. Such teachers only want your money.
2 John 1:7
- Many deceivers have gone out into the world. They do not believe that Jesus Christ came to earth in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Colossians 2:6
- And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him.
- Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.
- Don't let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world, and not from Christ.
- For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body,
- and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.

Acts 19:1

Acts 20:1
- When it was all over, Paul sent for the believers and encouraged them. Then he said good-bye and left for Macedonia.
- Along the way, he encouraged the believers in all the towns he passed through. Then he traveled down to Greece,
- where he stayed for three months. He was preparing to sail back to Syria when he discovered a plot by some Jews against his life, so he decided to return through Macedonia.
Acts 18:19
- When they arrived at the port of Ephesus, Paul left the others behind. But while he was there, he went to the synagogue to debate with the Jews.
Revelation 2:20
- But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman--that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet--to lead my servants astray. She is encouraging them to worship idols, eat food offered to idols, and commit sexual sin.
